The generic ED medication Apcalis SX IS NOT LEGAL IN THE UK. It contains Tadalafil as an active substance which is a selective inhibitor of phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE 5).

When sexual stimulation causes local release of nitric oxide, inhibition of PDE 5 in Apcalis SX increases levels of cGMP in the cavernous body of penis. This causes the arterial muscles to relax allowing blood to flow to the tissues of the penis, resulting in an erection.  Apcalis SX therefore improves the strength of an erection and allows for successful sexual intercourse.

Dosage and direction

The Generic ED Meds, Apcalis SX, is sold without a prescription but this does not mean you should use it without without consulting your doctor first.

After Apcalis SX is taken effects can be noticed within 30 minutes and lasts for up to 36 hours.

Apcalis SX is available in 20 mg and a recommended dose is no more than one 20 mg pill per day.

Precautions

Avoid drinking grapefruit juice or alcoholic beverages if you are taking legitimate Apcalis SX.

It is also important to note that tobacco, when used in conjunction with authentic Vivus Apcalis SX may cause a condition called NAION (sudden optic nerve-related vision loss).

It is important that you inform your doctor before to take Apcalis SX if you have an abnormal penis, including curved penis and birth defects of the penis, or if you have suffered from:

• Coronary artery disease
• Arrhythmia
• Angina
• Heart attack or heart failure
• Hypo- or hypertension
• Bleeding
• Stomach ulcers
• Diabetes
• Hyperlipidaemia (excess of lipids in the blood)
• Sickle-cell anaemia
• Liver or kidney failure

Contraindications

Authentic Apcalis SX is not allowed for use in patients who are using any form of organic nitrate, either regularly or intermittently. 

Possible side effects

Most usual side effects of Apcalis SX are facial flushing (reddening), headaches, stomach upset, diarrhoea, nausea and flu-like symptoms.

In rare cases low blood pressure, blurred vision, changes in colour vision, and abnormal ejaculation may occur.

Prolonged erections or priapism (painful erections lasting more than 6 hours) are also possible. If your erection is longer than 4 hours, seek medical help as it may permanently damage your penis.

Drug interaction

Co-administration with medications containing organic nitrates may cause severe hypotension which is dangerous in some cases. Avoid taking Cialis with medications such as Erythrityl Tetranitrate, Isosorbide Dinitrate, Isosorbide Mononitrate, Nitroglycerin, Pentaerythritol Tetranitrate. Levels and toxicity of Cialis are increased by erythromycin, ketoconazole (Nizoral), itraconazole (Sporanox), indinavir (Crixivan) and ritonavir (Norvir).

Inform your doctor if you are taking Atazanavir, Bunazosin, Clarithromycin, Doxazosin, Erythromycin, Indinavir, Itraconazole, Ketoconazole, Moxisylyte, Nefazodone, Nelfinavir, Phenoxybenzamine, Phentolamine, Prazosin, Saquinavir, Telithromycin, Terazosin, Trimazosin, Urapidil as your Cialis dose may require correction.

Missed dose

Official Vivus Apcalis SX is taken when needed. Never exceed the recommended dosage.

Overdose

Seek immediate medical help if you think you have taken too much of this medication.

Storage

Store Apcalis SX at room temperature and out of reach of children and pets.

Keep away from moisture and sunlight.
