Payment Information

When you submit a private consultation form to us (either electronically via our website, or over the telephone) we DO NOT take payment immediately. We wait until our doctor has reviewed your details, and has issued you a private prescription (if you're suitable to receive one), and then we take the payment via your card. This usually happens within a matter of hours after we first process your order.

However, BEFORE actually taking the payment, and as soon as you submit your order to us, we DO "pre-authorise" the cost of your order on the card you used for payment. By doing this, we can ensure that the pending transaction will be successful (verifying that your card is valid and that there are sufficient funds to cover the transaction). This "pre-authorisation" process "reserves" the cost of your order as a "pending transaction", until (or if) we actually take the payment. Therefore, it can appear that the transaction has taken place, even when it hasn't actually happened yet.

In the event that our doctor will NOT issue a private prescription to you, we immediately cancel the "pending transaction" on your card account, and no money is ever taken. However, the process of having this "pending transaction" completely cleared from your card account, can take several days.

We can only accept payment from a credit/debit card registered in the UK or Northern Ireland.
